Abstract
We experienced a case of bile peritonitis caused by spontaneous gall bladder perforation in a 13 month old Korean female infant.
During admission, this infant showed progressive abdominal distension with ascites, mild Jaun ice and intermittent acholic stools.
Abdominal tapping was performed and revealed the bile in ascitic fluids.
DISIDA liver scan showed extravasation of the bile into peritoneal cavity.
The pathologic findings of gall bladder gained by cholecystectomy had little inflammatory chest including perforated sites.
A brief review of related literature also is presented.
